OOM - Camping Out
Elizabeth moved to stand in an open area that seemed to be open enough to keep watch on all sides.
She shifts her pack on her shoulder more comfortably before turning to give a raised brow to the others.
"Here good for the night?"

"Here good for the night?"

"It would be a wonderful gift to pass onto children. Though with the general un-acceptance of it in my world, I wouldn't want to put a child through that." Elizabeth doesn't have the option anymore, nor has she had it for a long time. At times it gets to her that she won't be able to pass on her genes and name.
"He had an entire Pack of wolves to help him accept how his life has changed. It is no wonder that he bears it well."
no subject
She does watch Elizabeth carefully though as she sets a lid on the small pot and fishes a comb out of her pack "Your world sounds a fair harsh one, Elizabeth" she offered gently, compassion dropping the title from the words. "I can offer fair little to balance such, but you'll always be sister-kin to me should you wish it..."
"Aye, that would do it" she agreed. "I am glad he spends time away from that pack though, for this one..."
no subject
She curls her knees up to her and rests her chin on them. "This one is much smaller than the one back home. Plus this pack isn't based much on one's power where as the groups back home have a large dominance hierarchy."
no subject
"I...do not believe I would enjoy meeting his home Pack then" she admitted, a hint of sadness in her tone. She had been curious about his family..."I would fane see such unkind to him..."
no subject
"The pack isn't all bad. The one main problem to the peace of the pack is long dead, though in the bar all the same." She gives a comforting smile. "It is similar to the workings of a real wolf pack at times, but they are not unkind to their own. Jason is very well taken care of back home."
no subject
This is honestly the first she's heard of the dead being in Bar, no one having spoke to her of such before, and perhaps her eyes widen a bit, but it is not as strange as some things perhaps. "That being so...mayhap one day I might beg for a chance to see your own world..."
no subject
She moved in the direction that Khemrys had earlier to get water, though a little slowly. "I think that would be fun. Though it will most likely be a lot different than this world. Though we could even go see Jason at work." That twinkle in her eyes is betting on the fact that Jason hasn't told Khemrys what it was that he did.
no subject
"My lords profession?" she asked curiously, unbraiding the travel worn hair and slowly combing it out.
no subject
"You didn't know that Jason worked back home?"
no subject
"Everyone needs must do summat"
no subject
"He's in the entertainment business. Though he might want to explain the details himself." Jason might be a little more tactful than Elizabeth in explaining that he's a stripper.
no subject
So it was that her next words were chattered through her teeth "Entertainment?" she mused. "I will have to ask him..."
no subject
She gives a small nod. "It's a fairly interesting job. And like I said, we can make arrangements for you to come visit and we can always visit him at work."
no subject
"I think I would fair enjoy that..." she admitted "Though honestly I feel I make a poor showing beside the pair of you, dull as I am..."
no subject
"You are not dull Khemrys. Merely different. Not everyone in my Pard and Jason's Pack are like us. Some are quiet, some are obnoxious." She's thinking Caleb there which were Jason here, he might agree with. "Everyone is different, sometimes just because of personality, sometimes because of where they grow up, but it's the difference that makes you who you are."
no subject
"Well, regardless, I'll do my best not to dissapoint." she admitted, just a little more worried about such than she let.
no subject
"I'm sure you'll be fine. The biggest thing will probably be the environment shift." Elizabeth is now thinking sleeping arrangements at her apartment. She's got a second bedroom, so that's not really a problem. She's just not sure how Khemrys will react with Caleb staying in Elizabeth's room. He might just be shuffled to the couch for Khemrys's stay.

When they finally, she chucked and stirred the bubbling soup "Oh, I'm sure that it will be a fair shock, seeing as how many of my own commonplace things are strage to you...I can't imagine a world where embrodiery isn't a common past time..."
no subject
Elizabeth settles close to the fire so that she can absorb its warmth. "Well, everyone tends to be too fast paced to worry about embroidery. Especially when you can go to the store to get that done." She tilts her head to think a moment. "There are cars for faster traveling for one."
no subject
Then Khemrys actually sat downas well, sitting upon her own blanket, finger combing her hair idle as she debated eating herself. "Cars? Are they much like horses?"
no subject
"Faster." Is the small mumble around bread. And once she finishes the mouthful, she continues. "They are not alive, they are machines, and they travel faster than horses can travel."
no subject
"During the war there were great machines...the Kolder brought great metal crawlers to knock down walls and spit fire I'm told..." she mused quietly.
[And I'm away to work :'(]
no subject
There's a wry smirk from Elizabeth. "Well, cars don't spit fire. Generally, if there's fire on them it means something is wrong with them. Though they're easy enough to use, and safe."
[awww..have fun!]
no subject
"Your Cars are not machines of war then...but do they also run on some strange energy? Once the supply lines were cut, it was almost as if the war crawlers starved to death I'm told, freezing and no longer moving..."
no subject
"No, they are not machines of war. They are just machines used to make traveling great distances easier. They run on gas, which is made from oil that is found in the ground in certain places in our world."
