Elizabeth moved to stand in an open area that seemed to be open enough to keep watch on all sides.
She shifts her pack on her shoulder more comfortably before turning to give a raised brow to the others.
"Here good for the night?"

Date: 2006-03-26 06:51 am (UTC)"A fair shame, when days can be full enough with the simple things" she noted, certainly not knowing what computers are. Such simple things as hair brushing.

Date: 2006-03-26 07:01 am (UTC)Or such simple things as cooking. "Very true, though computers can be useful as well as distracting. Remind me to show you the one I have in the bar when we get back." She's very happy with her computer, mainly the dvd function of it.

Date: 2006-03-26 07:08 am (UTC)Indeed, though cooking is often a task that can be set to care for itself slowly...much can be done at the same time. "If you wish" she agreed. "A computer is...like a servant?" Perhaps it's her own cat like tendencies, but her combing is much like petting...

Date: 2006-03-26 07:19 am (UTC)Unless it's rice, in which, the moment you turn your back on it, it's burnt. "A computer is another machine. It can help people stay in contact even though miles apart, it can store information like recipes or stories, it can play music, and much more. Though it's small and isn't mobile, on it's own. Laptops are smaller than regular computers and can be moved about easily." The petting'combing is comforting to Elizabeth. And, being in a strange place, the comfort is very much welcome. Which is why she had brought up sleeping arrangements to Jason. He caught on fairly well to that.

Date: 2006-03-26 07:24 am (UTC)Unless rice is in soup, then it tends to survive quite well. "Do you not miss books? For such recipes and stories? And instruments for the music? It seems...a fair shame to replace such" she noted idly, setting the comb down and starting to braid portions of her hair. Just for fun now, she'd set the large braid later.

Date: 2006-03-26 07:49 am (UTC)And there are many small braids! Looped about each other carfully. She used to pretend that her mother was still a Lady, playing with her hair and making her beautiful...

Date: 2006-03-26 08:02 am (UTC)Is it wrong that with so many little braids, Elizabeth wants to shake her head just to see how it would feel? Because, yea, that's what she wants to do. Though, she fears that it would destroy some of the work that was done to make them so.
no subject
Date: 2006-03-26 08:07 am (UTC)No, not wrong in the least, though, alas, she has no hair pins, so it would no doubt slip...but it'd just be an excuse to do something else.
no subject
Date: 2006-03-26 08:18 am (UTC)Well, since there are no hair pins, Elizabeth won't. At least not until Jason gets back. Because she'll only do it once, and for some reason, unbeknown-est to the mun, he should be there for it.
no subject
Date: 2006-03-26 08:24 am (UTC)Well, it should stay as long as she's careful. Satisfied for now she grinned and scooped up the comb once more, to tackle her own drying locks.

Date: 2006-03-26 08:40 am (UTC)Elizabeth has never been good at styling other people's hair. Though, she's good at brushing it out. With hair like her friend Nathanial, she couldn't not be, ankle length that it is. "Would you like some help combing out your hair?"
no subject
Date: 2006-03-26 08:44 am (UTC)Her hands pause for a moment, not used to an offer in kind. She'd brushed the sisters hair because their joints pained them, and the brushes were to small to hold...and her mother simply...because. But, her own hair is well past her hips, and wild with waves when left to it's own devices. "...yes?"
no subject
Date: 2006-03-26 08:49 am (UTC)Elizabeth moves, brush in hand. Though she waits a moment. She's dealt with longer, though never with the waves. "You don't sound sure..is something wrong?"
no subject
Date: 2006-03-26 08:53 am (UTC)She shrugged her shoulders, the dark mass of her hair cheerfully lapping across both her front and back at the movement. "No...I do not believe so...it's just...you're the first to offer"
no subject
Date: 2006-03-26 08:56 am (UTC)She brushes some of the hair to the side with a hand. "Well, you did it for me. I can't braid other's hair very well, but I can help brush it out." She gives a grin. "I help my friend on occasion and his hair is much longer than yours."
no subject
Date: 2006-03-26 09:03 am (UTC)"I am well able to braid" she assured gently. "Just be warned...my hair can have a will of it's own it seems..." dark as midnight and as flowing as an river that hair. Another sign sh edoens't belong anywhere.

Date: 2006-03-26 09:06 am (UTC)"Noted, though I currently stand by that ankle length hair is worse." She goes to work on brushing out Khemrys's hair, starting at the bottom, so as not to make knots worse as thy get pulled down.
no subject
Date: 2006-03-26 09:10 am (UTC)"Fair certain" she agreed softly, letting her eyes close as she drew her knees to her chin. This...this was nice. Teh small fire, the darkness, the scent of her home world, if not land...
And family.

Date: 2006-03-27 05:43 am (UTC)"You two are making me wish I kept my hair long."
He drops down beside Elizabeth and watches while she brushes Khemrys' hair.
"Though mine was never that long," he muses.

Date: 2006-03-27 06:13 am (UTC)Dinneh! *His voice is slightly muffled from the cord.*

Date: 2006-03-27 06:24 am (UTC)She turns her head around to grin at Yrael, which of course sends her brains flying around her head. Which, feels a little odd to her.
"Those look delicious, Yrael!"
no subject
Date: 2006-03-27 06:30 am (UTC)Then there was Yrael. With fish. And far too many for a single cat to carry. So of course she's crawling forward from her spot, moving throughher hair to pick up part of the string "These are beautiful...I could cok them, and there's soup..."
no subject
Date: 2006-03-27 06:36 am (UTC)"No, it wouldn't look right on me. My hair is just too fine to wear it long, or don't you remember?"
He leans back, studying the fish Yrael brought.
"Nice, Yrael, but what are you going to eat?"

Date: 2006-03-27 06:38 am (UTC)*to Khemrys and Elizabeth* I can catch them easily enough, but I have no skill with cooking them. Not by a long shot.
