OOM - Camping Out
Elizabeth moved to stand in an open area that seemed to be open enough to keep watch on all sides.
She shifts her pack on her shoulder more comfortably before turning to give a raised brow to the others.
"Here good for the night?"

"Here good for the night?"

She brushes some of the hair to the side with a hand. "Well, you did it for me. I can't braid other's hair very well, but I can help brush it out." She gives a grin. "I help my friend on occasion and his hair is much longer than yours."
no subject
"I am well able to braid" she assured gently. "Just be warned...my hair can have a will of it's own it seems..." dark as midnight and as flowing as an river that hair. Another sign sh edoens't belong anywhere.
no subject
"Noted, though I currently stand by that ankle length hair is worse." She goes to work on brushing out Khemrys's hair, starting at the bottom, so as not to make knots worse as thy get pulled down.
no subject
"Fair certain" she agreed softly, letting her eyes close as she drew her knees to her chin. This...this was nice. Teh small fire, the darkness, the scent of her home world, if not land...
And family.
no subject
"You two are making me wish I kept my hair long."
He drops down beside Elizabeth and watches while she brushes Khemrys' hair.
"Though mine was never that long," he muses.

Dinneh! *His voice is slightly muffled from the cord.*

She turns her head around to grin at Yrael, which of course sends her brains flying around her head. Which, feels a little odd to her.
"Those look delicious, Yrael!"
no subject
Then there was Yrael. With fish. And far too many for a single cat to carry. So of course she's crawling forward from her spot, moving throughher hair to pick up part of the string "These are beautiful...I could cok them, and there's soup..."
no subject
"No, it wouldn't look right on me. My hair is just too fine to wear it long, or don't you remember?"
He leans back, studying the fish Yrael brought.
"Nice, Yrael, but what are you going to eat?"
no subject
*to Khemrys and Elizabeth* I can catch them easily enough, but I have no skill with cooking them. Not by a long shot.
no subject
Elizabeth waves a hand towards Khemrys. "I only know how to cook them when they're from the store." Which means already skinned and de-boned. "So, I think I trust Khemrys the most to cook them."
no subject
"And braek your fast upon the soup while I dress these..."
That said she draped the string near the fire and quickly began to braid her hair back.
no subject
He forces himself to turn away and start in on the soup, but not before nudging Elizabeth roughly, but playfully.
"The soup is great!"
He stretches against Elizabeth while he eats. "Yrael, are you starting the watch or should I?"
no subject
*He doesn't bring up that nap he had, curled up in Jason's pack today. Instead, he stretches out beside the fire.*
I shall wake you around three or so.
Mmm, that soup smells wonderful.
no subject
"Would you like some of the soup Yrael?"
no subject
There are things to be done.
There's a knife in the pack, well suited for such work, as well as defense. A good sturdy belt knife. And a small sheet of metal to broil the skinned and gutted fish upon.
Even a small packet of herbs.
It keeps her busy. And it keeps her quiet.
no subject
"Good. Try not to wake me by sticking your nose in my eye this time, ok?"
He snickers and submits to utter relaxation as he waits for some fish.
no subject
*Yrael stretches, comfortably.*
My previous attempts had failed, Jason. I was out of options. *smirk*
no subject
Elizabeth tilts her head with an amused grin.
"In the eye? Well that's a new place to use to wake people up." See her considering storing this information for later entertainment.
no subject
Perhaps that is to the best though. It lets her work without interruption.
no subject
"Remind me not to let you wake me, Khemrys. I'd hate to find myself in a lake."
His tone is teasing and he gives a lazy smile.
"Khemrys, do you need any help with that? I'm sure Elizabeth would love to help."
He grins, waiting for the inevitable slap.
no subject
*Getting to his feet, he stretches.* I shall take to my post then, I suppose.
no subject
A lie, really. But it's usually true for most shifters in their world.
"Stay safe Yrael."
no subject
A good portion of the fish were being sliped into the pot to simmer overnight for breakfast. Four though were being herbed and spitted to roast. It would do for this night.
no subject
"Only if you've been eating garbage. I can make some basics, but why bother when so many delivery places know me already?"
"I'll see you in a few, Yrael," he adds. He pulls his pack behind his head, getting comfortable.
"Oh, that fish smells great."
Something tells me he'll change his tune in a year.
