Elizabeth stepped through the door, not entirely sure on what to expect. Once through the threshold she sank to her knees with a small gasp as the bullet wounds and blood loss came back to her. She heard Cherry's voice but couldn't wrap her mind around the actual words. Then there were hands around her waist and picking her up easily. She could tell fairly easily by scent that it was Caleb. He carried her into the kitchen, setting her gently into a chair, where Cherry fell upon Elizabeth with a nurse's hand, cleaning and examining the wounds.

Elizabeth blinked down at her chest with slight surprise. Though, she couldn't grasp in her mind why she was surprised at the fact that she was bleeding. She had been shot after all. She inhaled shallowly as she leaned back and watched Cherry work.

Cherry frowned softly, noticing that there wasn't enough blood for a wound like that, though she didn't say anything on it. "You really shouldn't put the Pard in danger just to make Anita mad. Nathanial hasn't done anything to deserve that." Her voice was softer than the emotion in the words.

Elizabeth shook her head to clear it of some of the fog from the blood loss or the shock. Her voice soft when she replied, watching Cherry's back as the woman moved towards the sink. "I wasn't thinking about Nathanial. I'm sorry."

Cherry tossed the towel into the sink. "That's the problem. You didn't..." She turned to stare wide eyed at Elizabeth. "Did you just apologize?"

Elizabeth nodded weakly at Cherry. "Yes. I shouldn't have involved the rest of the Pard with a problem that I had personally with Anita." She shifted slightly, wincing as the movement caused the muscles to pull at the wound. "We're like family. And family shouldn't do that to each other."

Cherry returned to stand in front of Elizabeth, handing her a bottle of Gatorade from the fridge. "Are you sure that you're alright? This doesn't sound like you." Cherry eyed Elizabeth a little more closely. "And when did you put on that necklace? I don't remember seeing it outside."

Caleb leaned over Elizabeth's shoulder to take a look. "I'm with Cherry. I don't remember that being around your neck earlier."

Elizabeth's hand rose to rest on the necklace, and there was a small jolt of memory. She realized that she had forgotten that is was there, and that most of her memories were fuzzy, but where she got the necklace and leaving to come here were getting clearer. She couldn't have been wearing it when she was shot because Yrael had given it to her. But for the sake of sanity, and the fact that she was too tired to even begin to try and explain, she worked her mind over what she could say that would still come off true, but not be a lie. While thinking, she reached over and pushed Caleb's shoulder with a low growl. "I've been wearing it all night." Which was technically a true statement, to her. The beginning of the night she had been shot had taken place several months ago, at least for her. Her night consisted of leaving Milliways, and getting here.

Caleb chuckled because her push barely moved him at all. He leaned down to nuzzle Elizabeth's neck, catching a sniff at the necklace.

Elizabeth let out another growl and, using most of her strength, pushed Caleb back a few steps.

Caleb grinned, because he had gotten what he wanted and Elizabeth knew it. "It doesn't smell familiar. Where'd you get it?"

Elizabeth sank in the chair and Cherry let out a soft growl. "Caleb leave her alone right now. Save your questions for when she's not falling over."

Caleb's smile vanished replaced with a slightly guilty look. He moved back to stand behind Elizabeth, nuzzling her hair. "Sorry. Forgive me?"

Elizabeth leaned her head back against his chest. "If you drop the necklace questions, absolutely."

Caleb grinned, though Elizabeth couldn't see it, but it penetrated his voice. "Done." He rested his hands on her shoulders, kneading the tense muscles there, causing a low tired purr from Elizabeth.

Her purred died as Micah and Merle entered the kitchen, Micah's eyes moving over Elizabeth and Caleb before resting on Cherry. "How is she?"

Cherry gave Elizabeth a sympathetic glance before answering Micah. "She'll be fine, but she needs rest. Between the blood loss and shock, she's too out of it for anything else."

Micah nodded. "Fine. We need to get going, and you're the only ones not in the car." Micah finally turned to look at Elizabeth. "Go home, rest, and come back when you can show some respect to your Nimir-Ra."

"No!" Elizabeth stood quickly, and then regretted it as she started to fall. Caleb caught her around the waist and tucked her against his side. She leaned against him and seeing the stern look on Micah's face buried her face into Caleb's shoulder. Before anyone could say anything, she let out a small whimpered, "Gregory."

She heard Micah sigh. "You can't even stand right now, and I doubt Anita wants to set eyes on you. Go home, rest, and when we're all in better moods maybe you can try talking to Anita and seeing Gregory."

Elizabeth swallowed the comment that bubbled in her throat. Her voice was tight and small as she finally answered. "Fine." She pulled away from Caleb and took two steps towards the door. The next thing she knew, she was on her knees, Caleb's hand on her shoulder. She heard murmured voices but couldn't think through the fog that once again took over her brain. Caleb picked her up and she buried her head into his shoulder, her mind clearing slowly now that she wasn't moving.

"Caleb, take her home and take care of her. Cherry, give Caleb any instructions he'll need before we leave, but make it fast." And with that both Micah and Merle were out of the kitchen and outside in a matter of moments.

Cherry turned to Caleb. "Just make sure she rests and gets lots of fluids and food. She just needs to heal and she'll be fine." And with another sympathetic smile, she was following Micah and Merle.

Caleb and Elizabeth watched her go and before Caleb moved to take her home, Elizabeth felt him nuzzle her hair briefly. Home. Same place and people, however much I've seemed to change. Was her final thought before falling asleep on the way to her apartment.
