Convo w/ dead people
Liz stood in front of the big window, eyes looking down at the city. She didn't think anything of it when hands settled on her waist and a nose rested against her throat. Caleb sometimes came up behind her like that. Kitty fangs scraped along skin, pulling a shudder from her. It was about then she caught the scent of him, not Caleb's. But way too familiar. She jerked, the move causing the fangs to pull blood in two small scratches. Hazel eyes widened when Liz turned and met liquid gray, "Gabriel."
His tongue licked slowly over his teeth to clean the small trace of her blood from them. "You used to be faster at identifying me, Liz." He took a step towards her, only to frown when she side stepped away from him.
"Kind of the last person I ever expected to see, Lover." The only one who would have been a bigger surprise would have been Raina. "What do you want?" He moved again and again she countered the move. She wasn't sure what would happen if he got his hands on her, both because of him and because of her own body. Her heart and body knew him too well to be certain it wouldn't betray her.
Gabriel's head tilted, eyes tracking her movements. "What do I want?" He moved again, managing to get a hand in her hair at the nape of her neck. "A warmer reception to start." He pulled Liz to him with a confident smirk before he claimed a deep kiss.
Liz couldn't help the low sound of want from her throat into the kiss, at the way her arm automatically wrapped around his neck, or that her body went willingly against his with the hand at the small of her back. She even moved easily with him when he walked them back so her body was semi pinned against the wall. It took a while for her brain to kick in, to have the ability to pull back from the kiss with a sharp nip to his lower lip as a parting gift.
He hummed in appreciation, watching her a moment. "Secondly," his hand jerked her head back and to the side in an angry movement, "I want to know how you let that human bitch take over my Pard," he growled.
Her heartbeat picked up, her body hummed, and for reasons most people wouldn't guess. There was no fear in her. Uncertainty, yes, but not fear. Foreplay had usually been harder between them. "Wasn't in a position to run the Pard after you Gabriel," she breathed. She'd been too angry about a lot of things, letting them cloud her judgements, her actions.
Gabriel sneered, "I guess I should have guessed you'd be too weak to take over. I mean you aren't even the hell bitch I left behind."
Liz snarled at him, "Weak my ass." Her foot lashed out and caught him unexpectedly in the side. He stumbled back, though his hand never let go of her hair so she was pulled with him.
"I'm sorry, are you or are you not friends with that lowly wolf or sleeping with that cheap imitation of me?" He jerked he back, throwing her against the wall.
"Don't you far judge my choices, my family," Liz growled before she lunged at him, taking them both to the floor.
The tussle lasted longer than Gabriel would have expected, showing just how strong she'd become, though it ended with Liz pinned by the throat. "Stupid, weak choices."
Liz growled, "Some would say the same about my choice to make you, Gabriel." She braced her feet on the floor. "Either way, they're still my choices and I stand by every one of the them."
Gabriel laughed, "I was your best choice. Every choice since has lead you to become weaker and weaker."
She pushed up, flipping them with a snarl, "Shut up!"
The moment she would have pinned Gabriel, Liz woke with a gasp. She jerked into a sitting position and her hand went to her throat, still able to feel Gabriel's hand at her throat. It was a while before she layed back down, curling into the warm body next to her. Sleep didn't come easy, though.
